William P. Gischlar, 84, of Groveville passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Hamilton, he was a lifelong area resident, spending the last 57 years in Groveville. Bill served his country honorably with the NJ Air National Guard during the Berlin Wall Crisis, including spending a year in France. He retired from White Eagle Printing in 2003 after 45 years of service. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed watching Jeopardy, wood working projects, and was a Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Catherine (Heil) Gischlar; and his siblings, Charles Gischlar, Ann Hoffman, Evelyn Varanyak and Catherine Gischlar; he is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol P. (Bransfield) Gischlar; a daughter, Dr. Karen Gischlar; sons, William M. (Liane) Gischlar, and Douglas P. (Elaine) Gischlar; grandchildren, Nikolos, Sofiya, Anatoli, Eryca and Matthew Gischlar; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
At Bill’s request, all services were held privately and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
