Ufredo P. Bohorquez

June 1, 1964 - November 8, 2024

Ufredo P. Bohorquez, 60, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, surrounded by his family’s love and support.

Born in Milagro, Ecuador, Ufredo moved to the United States at the age of 24, seeking new opportunities and building a life in New Jersey. For many years, he worked as a long-haul truck driver, a job that took him across the country and allowed him to meet countless people who were touched by his kindness and warmth. Though he often spent long hours on the road, Ufredo always found time to share his passion for music. He had a deep love for singing, and his talent with both the guitar and the piano brought joy to those lucky enough to hear him play.

Ufredo’s greatest pride, however, was his family. He is survived by his former wife, Brenda Pareja; his cherished daughter, Betsabe Bohorquez, and her husband, Eduardo Figeroa; his three sons, Paul Bohorquez and his wife, Angela, Christopher Bohorquez, and Anthony Bohorquez and his wife, Emilyn. He also leaves behind many siblings in both the United States and Ecuador, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.

His laughter, his music, and his love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
