Stanley W. Wieszczek, Jr., 87, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully Monday, August 5, 2024 at his home.
Born in Trenton, N.J., he was a lifelong Hamilton area resident.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp in the 1960’s. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at U.S. Steel and retired after more than 30 years of service. After retirement, Stan went on to work at the Cranbury Golf Course, and then NADE/Manheim car auction, retiring again in 2020. He was a life member of the Nottingham Hunting and Fishing Club, the Stump Jumpers Club in Crosswicks, and the NRA. Stan loved his golden retrievers Stoney and Freddy and always had his dog by his side. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a fan of the N.Y. Yankees.
Predeceased by his parents, Stanley W. Wieszczek, Sr. and Eva Maliszewski Wieszczek,
and siblings Henry, Fred, Frank and Mary Ann; he is survived by his son, Michael (Susan) Wieszczek;
daughters, Karen Strong, and Patricia (Stephen) Niles; his sister, Barbara Sawyer; grandchildren,
Kathryn (Peter Joynt) Coluccio, Stephen (Alexandra) Coluccio, Sean (Lauren Noonan) Coluccio,
Michael Wieszczek, Jr., Joseph Wieszczek, and Dylan Strong; a great grandson, Benjamin Joynt;
his former wife, Elizabeth Cannon; former son-in-law, Gary Coluccio; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. His greatest joy were his grandchildren and his very first great-grandson.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, N.J.
A prayer service will be held at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Rd, Robbinsville, N.J.
