Robert J. Dombroski, 82, of Trenton, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, Robert moved to Trenton at age 6 with his parents where he resided for the remainder of his life. Robert attended St. Hedwig Elementary School and Trenton Central High School. After high school, he enlisted in the Marines. Later, he worked for Roebling Steel, CF&I, Pierce Roberts, and various other companies.
Robert is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Rosemary Urban Dombroski, a son, Robert J. Dombroski, Jr., and his parents, Joseph and Bertha Dombroski, He is survived by his daughter, Mary Shutack and her husband John of Hamilton Square; a son, John F. Dombroski of Morrisville, PA; his sister, Cynthia Schaffer of Yardville; eight grandchildren, including Brad Shutack, Eric Shutack and his wife, Alison, and Ashley Shutack; Casey Dombroski, Nikki Dombroski, Kristin Dombroski, Joseph Dombroski, and Amanda Dombroski; four great grandchildren, Avah, Mason, Karlie Rae, and Brielle, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special family friends, Leslie Dombroski and Pat Rue.
Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Friday morning, June 7, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
