Robert F. Hughes, 81, of Hamilton passed away peacefully Friday, April 8, 2022 at Mercerville Center, Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. He retired after many years of service at the Champale Factory. Bob was an avid fisherman who enjoyed trips to the Jersey Shore. He was a very generous and loving man who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents, James and Barbara (Stout) Hughes; daughter, Shari Horner; sister, Marie Brazale; and his brothers, James Hughes and Arthur Hughes.
He is survived by his son, and daughter-in-law, Robert Hughes, Jr. and Donna Blizzard; daughters and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Daniel McKnight, Pamela Tax, and Bobbi Ann Cole; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Janet Hughes; sister, Lorraine Hughes; 10 grandchildren, Erica, Brian, Jamie, Ryan, Brandy, Jesse, Danielle, Nicole, Brittany and Crystal; many great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday April 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, with a prayer service at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Bordentown Cemetery, 210 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
