Raymond R. Muhs

June 16, 1938 - June 13, 2022

Raymond R. Muhs, 83, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Capital Health Regional in Trenton surrounded by his loving family.


Ray was born in Trenton, New Jersey on June 16, 1938, to Raymond and Betty Muhs.


Ray was happily married to the love of his life, Joan, for 53 years. They made their home in Yardville, New Jersey for the last 50 years. After a fulfilling career as a truck driver, Ray retired to spend time with his loving wife, 4 children and 10 grandchildren and close friends.


Ray and Joan enjoyed traveling and taking vacations with family and friends. In his spare time, he loved working around his yard and tinkering around the house, rigging together electronics and lighting which were often his way of inventing uses for recycled parts of all kinds. Ray was a sweet, kind, and fun-loving man who had the best sense of humor, he always had a joke or rhyme to make you laugh.


Predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Elizabeth (Wilkes) Muhs; and brother-in-law, Jack Kostrzewa; he is survived by his beloved wife, Joan (Kostrzrewa) Muhs; daughters, Diane Buckley (Rich Collom), Donna and Robert Mahon, and Debra and David Wenskoski; son, Gregory and Laurel Muhs; grandchildren, Zachary (Lizzy) Mahon, Nicole Mahon, Stephanie (Jeff) Dunn, Jessica Muhs, Brad Buckley, Katrina (Tom Nalbone) Buckley, Roxanne Muhs, David Wenskoski, Russ Muhs, and Brandon Buckley; great grandchildren, Lola and Jack Dunn; brother-in-law, Raymond and Lorraine Kostrzewa; sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Kostrzewa, and Marie and David DeBlasio; nieces, nephews, great nieces, and cousins; goddaughter, Michelle Borek; and very dear friends Pat and John Borek.


Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Holy Cross Church, 215 Adeline Street, Trenton, NJ.


Burial will be private.
