November 18, 1955 - February 4, 2022
Patricia Ann Hanson, 66 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Trenton, Patti was a long-time resident of Hamilton NJ, who also resided in South Fla for many years. She loved sailing on her boat with her sister Susie and son Andrew. An avid fisher since childhood, she spent many years enjoying fishing from the surf, boats and from the jetties.
Patti loved being a preschool teacher at Church by The Sea in Ft Lauderdale Fla. Her love and passion for helping children and everyone she knew was surpassed by few. She also taught Pre-K in Hamilton Square.
Her greatest love and achievement is her son Andrew. She loved and guided him to becoming an intelligent and funny man who could achieve anything he believed in. This amazing mother, sister, friend, and sister-in-law was a guiding light who will be deeply missed and always loved and remembered. She never complained and always looked forward to better days ahead.
Patti fought like the true warrior she was to beat the invasion of cancer. Her will to stay gave way to comforting Peace.
A devoted member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church, she found solace, love, and peace from her congregation. Patti loved playing guitar at Church functions and sermons with her teacher.
Daughter of the late Andrew and Joan Patricia Hanson; she is survived by her son Andrew Hanson of Hamilton, sister Susie (Hanson) Burns and brother-in-law, Mike Burns, of Ft Lauderdale FL; as well as cousins and many dear friends.
A celebration of Patti’s life will be held at Saint Mark United Methodist Church at a late date.
