Olga Luz Quinones (71) was born February 7, 1949 to Domingo Caraballo and Isabel Vega in Guanica, Puerto Rico. She departed this life peacefully on Sunday November 22, 2020. Olga married the love of her life, the late Guadalupe Quinones in 1963. From that love flourished their first son Carlos. Soon after they migrated to Bronx, NY and extended their family to include Alvin, Olga, and Elizabeth. In 1978 Guadalupe moved and settled his family in Trenton, NJ where they remained.
Olga was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was loved beyond measures by her family and friends. Olga dedicated her life being a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children. Caretaker, giver, and supporter for everyone. Olga created many close-knit friendships that became a sisterhood. Olga was known as everyone’s aunt and second mother who had an open-door policy and never hesitated to lend a hand in anyone’s time of need. She never expected anything in return while giving her all to others. Tata as she was affectionately known, babysat and helped raise many children whom she refused to charge a fee. Olga was an excellent cook whose food was amazing. She loved the holidays and family gatherings. She enjoyed her many trips to PR to spend time with her siblings and their families. To Olga family was first and foremost. There wasn’t a moment when her home was not filled with family gathering to spend time with her. Olga was a beautiful person inside and out. To know her was to love her by all, young and old. She was an avid shopper who was stylish and flawless. She loved to sew, play bingo and dominoes, and tend to her many plants and flowers. She was a woman of prayer who loved to be in the presence of the Lord. Tata was extremely loved by many and will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
