Nello R. (Neal) Erkoboni

March 12, 1928 - October 29, 2022

Nello R. “Neal” Erkoboni, 94, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Hamilton Grove, Hamilton.


Born in Lawrenceville, NJ he was a longtime local area resident. Nello was a proud U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He worked for U.S. Steel Fairless Works for 34 years before retiring and was also employed with the East Windsor School District.


As a longtime parishioner of St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, he served as an Usher, and was member of their Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Association, enjoyed collecting and working on the Antique Engines. In his spare time, Nello enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf with his brothers.


Predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary (Sinibaldi) Erkoboni; his siblings, Daniel, Reno, Vito, Eugene, Quinto (Grace), Ralph (Lucille), David, and Ida (George); his daughter, Lisa Ann Erkoboni; and his wife, Alice (Welker) Erkoboni. He is survived by a brother Richard (MaryLou) Erkoboni; sisters-in-law, Genevieve Erkoboni and Rebecca Erkoboni; a special niece, Patricia Bogdan Erkoboni; many other nieces, nephews, great, and great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, 3500 South Broad Street, Yardville.


Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass at the Church.

Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.


Services are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home.
