Michael C. Cseremsak, 86, of Ewing Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Lawrence Rehabilitation and Care Center in Lawrence Twp., NJ.
Michael was born in the city of Trenton and decided to join US Marine Corps after graduating from high school.In 1958 he was a crew chief of a search and rescue helicopter on an aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean Sea. He participated in Operation Blue Bat. The occupation and securing of the Beirut International Airport.
Mike later became a firefighter with the City of Trenton Fire Department, Badge #277. He had a long and distinguished career. Serving as a deckhand, driver, training officer and Chiefs aide, earring several awards and commendations along the way. Mike retired after 25 years of service.
Predeceased by his granddaughter, Jocelyn Marie Anama; he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joan M. Cseremsak; a daughter, Michele (George) Greener; a son, Michael (Brenda) Cseremsak; 4 grandchildren, Jacob Cseremsak, Michael Panichella, Todd (Sherry) Greener, and Nicole (John) Foster; and 4 great grandchildren, Alani Banyard, Taylor Greener, Zachary Greener and Tristan Foster; as well as other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
A prayer service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with local clergy officiating.
Interment will follow in Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ.
