Marianne R. Speno, 71, of Hamilton Twp., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at
Jeanes Campus-Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia PA.
Born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Fairless Hills, PA, she resided in the Hamilton Twp. area for the past 43 years. She was a graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing in 1971 and worked as a nurse at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Mercer Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, Delaware Valley Pediatrics and Community Nursing, retiring from Virtua in Mount Laurel.
Marianne volunteered at the food pantry and taught CCD, both at St. Raphael’s church. She loved spending time with her family, and their trips to Wildwood and Cape May. She especially loved cooking meals for them. She enjoyed working in her garden, flowers, and watching the birds on their feeder. Marianne was a true animal lover, she especially loved dogs.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed, especially by her daughter Elizabeth who cared for her during her final months.
Predeceased by her parents, John V. and Mary G. (Shinn) Bartolone; she is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Phillip H. Speno, Jr.; her caring and devoted daughter, Elizabeth A. Speno; her son, Phillip Vincent Speno; her sister from another mother, Suzanne Smith;
2 grandchildren, Nicholas E. Speno and Mia Genevieve Speno;
sister-in-law Sue Ann Speno-Elerick; her beloved canine companion Rory;
as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from
5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home,
30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
A prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. with local clergy officiating.
Burial will be private.
