Madeline Russo Weisel, 78, passed away peacefully on
Friday June 7, 2024, in Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood
Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
Madeline was a graduate of Trenton State College and retired from NJ State Police civilian personnel as a Training Specialist for last 17 years and worked for the NJ Department of Community Affairs for many years prior. She was an avid reader and great fan of authors Stephen King , John Grisham, and Arthur Hailey. Her hobbies consisted of frequenting many seafood restaurants near and around the Jersey shore with her companion Bruce Lloyd and writing poetry.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Manz Russo, she is also predeceased by her long-time companion of over 30 years, Bruce Lloyd, Madeline is survived by two sons Mark Sorrento and spouse Jennifer Garcia and grandchildren Sydney, Haley, and Matthew Sorrento, and son Dr. Dean Sorrento and spouse Christine Sorrento of Tampa, Florida and grandchildren Dean, Jr., and Brianna Sorrento. She is also survived by a brother Robert Russo and spouse Cindy Russo and nieces Sabrina Russo Gould and spouse David Gould , and Brittany Russo Crupi and spouse Anthony Crupi, and several great nephews and a great niece.
Services will be private at the request of the family and there will be no calling hours.
