Lindy W. Morgan, 94, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in the Trenton area, he resided in Chesterfield for more than 50 years, most recently residing in Columbus. He was an honorably discharged Navy Veteran. Lindy had a rewarding career as an Engineer with RCA/GE Aerospace for more than 40 years. In his younger years he enjoyed working outside on his property and took great pride in cutting his lawn. He also enjoyed fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his late wife Florence. Lindy was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Predeceased by his parents, Steven and Lena (Rhoads) Morgan; his loving wife, Florence Ada Morgan; and his 12 siblings. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Morgan, and Pattie Hinderer and her husband Ted; grandchildren, Lori Jones and her husband Matt, Lisa Payakovich and her fiancé Bill Hoffman, and David Payakovich; 2 great grandchildren Stella and Amelia; stepdaughters, Deborah Pitonyak, and Lydia Pitonyak, Cheryl Huber-Brown (deceased); 5 step grandchildren, Christopher Pitonyak, Keith Pitonyak, Melody Phillips, Steve Pitonyak, and Chanel Conrad; 5 step great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m.
Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.

I have been a companion caregiver to Mr. Lindy for 16 months. He was such a joy to care for. I will miss his pleasant spirit and his heart warming smile.
