Karen Marie Onofri Colello, 75, of Hamilton, NJ, went home to be with her savior on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime Hamilton area resident. She was active in the Holy Angles School PTA, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Holy Angels and St. Raphael Alumni Association, and Girl Scouts. She was a life member of the Rusling Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary and the State of New Jersey Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary.
Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Gloria (Bresnen) Onofri; sister Antoinette Procaccini and brother-in-law, Frank Procaccini; she is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, James Colello; a daughter, Annemarie (Jason) Fungi; son James Colello, III; grandsons, Nicholas and Jacob, Spahr; two sisters, Michele (Frank) Cuiule and Kathleen (Louis) Mattiello; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.
Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Hamilton.
There will be no calling hours.
