June M. Sportelli, 85, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully, on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Mercerville Center.
Born in Trenton, NJ, and raised and educated in Princeton, she resided in Hamilton for more than 50 years.
She retired from the State of New Jersey after many years of service. June enjoyed knitting, playing solitaire, spending time with family and friends, and going out to lunch with her girlfriends. She was known for her high energy, selflessness and her generosity, and was very passionate about caring for others.
Predeceased by her parents, George W. and Marion (VanMarter) Roberts; her sons, James Sportelli and Richard Sportelli; daughter, Marion Foster; and daughter-in-law, Teri Sportelli, she is survived by her sons, Michael Sportelli, Gary (Terri) Sportelli, Edward Sportelli and Ronald Sportelli; son-in-law, Bob Foster; grandchildren, Jamie (Carl) Eschbach, Paige Sportelli, Jason Foster, Kendall Sportelli, Rachel (Kevin) Santana, Richard Sportelli, Eddie Sportelli, and Dana (Daniel) Hammer; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be 10:00am-12:00 noon prior to the service at the Memorial Home.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
