Josephine DeBlasio, 88, of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted living in Hamilton surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. Josephine retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor with over 25 years of service. She also was a devoted parishioner of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Yardville. Josephine was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Bordentown Elks, and enjoyed the yearly conventions in Wildwood, NJ. She also was a member of the H.E.L.P. Organization, Sam Naples, St. Gregory's and Hamilton Senior Centers, Butler Nutrition Center, Junior 4 Alumni Association, and was a Columbiette with the Knights of Columbus. In her spare time she loved to bake and cook, known for her famous creampuffs. She also enjoyed traveling and sunning on the beaches in Florida as well as the beaches in New Jersey, loved dancing and especially enjoyed line dancing, and had a great sense of humor. Most of all, family was her first priority; she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends.
Daughter of the late Emilio and Rose Latini, predeceased by her former husband Vincent DeBlasio, and sister of the late Toby Latini, Mary DeLorenzo, and Catherine Caravone, she is survived by her two children and their spouses, Robert and Marlene DeBlasio, and Kathleen and Paul Paulowsky; two grandchildren, Danielle Jones and her husband Edward, and Colleen Paulowsky; her great grandson Edward “Eddie” Paul Jones; several nieces, nephews and close friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
