Jose Ramon Cintron, 72, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Puerto Rico, he has resided in the Trenton area since he was approximately 3 years old and graduated from St. Mary’s Cathedral High School. He was an honorably discharged Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Jose was employed as a Boiler operator with Mercer County Dept. of Corrections and retired after 15 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed relaxing at home watching Western movies, enjoyed dancing and doo wop music. He was an avid Superman fan, who watched all of the Superman shows on tv and in the movies.
Predeceased by his parents, Jose Lao and Irene (Bonilla) Cintron; his siblings, Alphonso Rivera, and Lydia Perdomo; and his daughter Kelly Cintron; he is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carole (Crawley) Cintron; his daughters, Stacy Cintron and husband Greg Hollo, and Holly Cintron and wife Nicole LaRosee; his brother, Louie Rivera and husband Larry Barrett; sister, Emma Rey;5 grandchildren Gregory Hollo, Jr., Joseph Hollo, Peyton (Sean) Wulf, Teagan Pruce and Nate Safir; 2 great grandchildren, Archer Wulf and Violet Safir; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and close friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, with Funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Disabled Veterans organizations.
