John "Jack" Polak, Jr.

August 18, 1945 - June 19, 2023

John “Jack” Polak, Jr., 77, of Hamilton, passed away while at home on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Born in Trenton, NJ he was a lifelong Hamilton area resident and graduated from Hamilton High School West, Class of 1963. After graduation he joined the Army Reserves. Jack served an internship at the Schaeffer Machine Company, while working along with his father. During his internship, he was able to assist in the manufacturing of many sets of Quoits. Chances are that if you have ever pitched Quoits, Jack was the person who may have made them. He went on to work at General Motors, in Ewing Twp. and retired after more than 25 years of service as a Tool and Dye Maker. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling in many different leagues, playing cards with the guys on Friday nights, and playing quoits. After retirement he enjoyed spending winters in Florida, and any type of fishing, always keeping in touch with his friends from his GM days.

Predeceased by his parents, John and Jean Polak; he is survived by his sister Pat Martin, and her husband, Marty; nephews, Randy Martin, and Daniel (Michele) Martin; niece, Cindy (Bob) Joyce; 6 great nieces and great nephews, Rob, Zack, Cody, Jesse, Ryan and Alicia; as well as many close friends.

A Celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, with a prayer service beginning at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AFSP, 199 Water Street, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10038
