Janet R. Skwara, 81, of Hamilton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident.
Janet retired from the State of New Jersey with over 35 years of service. She and her husband Bob, who was the love of her life, enjoyed traveling in and also out of the country. She adored her family, and loved spending time with them. In her younger years she also enjoyed skiing. Friday night was pizza night, usually followed up by a game of Pinochle with friends in her card club, she also liked playing trivia. Janet enjoyed having lunch and also dinner with her special group of friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Daughter of the late Romeo and Ida Ricciani Giovannetti, sister of the late Raymond Giovannetti, and aunt of the late Raymond Govannetti, Jr., she is survived by husband of 59 years, Robert M. Skwara; two children and their spouses, Kenneth and Dana Skwara, and Karen and Larry Donoher; four grandchildren, Lucas and Lauren Donoher, and Nicolas and Taylor Skwara; four step grandchildren, Madison, Joseph, Brody, and Mackenzie Bendas; her special group of friends who were like her family, Judy Huston, and Helen and Jerry Parker; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, October 30, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Buklad Yardville-Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville.
The funeral will be held on Thursday morning, October 31, 2019, at 8:30 a.m. from the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church. Burial will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
