Herbert Stout ”Butch”, 80, of New Egypt, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Penn Medicine at Princeton Medical Center.
Born in Trenton, NJ he was a longtime resident of Trenton, Yardville and Ewing, most recently residing in New Egypt. He was an automotive mechanic who was employed with the State of New Jersey, Dept. of Treasury, Central Motor Pool for many years before his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving and building dirt track race cars, tinkering around the garage, and doing anything automotive. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Avis (Drake) Stout; his brother, Joseph Stout;
and his beloved wife, Fern L. Newbon Stout; he is survived by his 2 sons, Jason Newbon and wife Karen, and David Stout and fiancé, MaryAnn Argust; 3 grandchildren, Jared Newbon and wife Abigail, Shane Newbon and Courtney Newbon; 2 great grandchildren, Bridget and Blaire; sister-in-law,
Valerie Commiso-Stout; a special niece, Tammy Hanak and her husband, Tim; great nieces, Paige and Casey Hanak; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday evening, November 22, 2024 from
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home,
30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
