Helen E. Gray, 98 , of Lumberton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at her daughter’s home surrounded by the love of her family.
Born and raised in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton resident, most recently residing in Lumberton. Helen enjoyed cooking and traveling with her late husband. She especially loved spending time with her family, the grandchildren, and great grandchildren the most. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all who had the joy of loving her.
Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Lewis) Dempsey, siblings, Emma Severs, John Dempsey and Martin Dempsey; her loving husband, Francis Gray; her son, Barry M. Gray; and her grandson, Barry Gray; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Samuel Micciche; grandchildren, John (Noreen) Gray, Jason (Jennifer) Micciche, Christy (Christopher) Brock, and Amy (Jeffrey) Smith;
granddaughter-in law, Valerie Gray; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild;
2 special nieces, Susan Severs and Linda Severs; a special nephew, Bruce (Cindy) Severs;
a special cousin, Helen Patterson; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces,
great nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at Yardville Memorial Home.
Burial will follow in Colonial Memorial Park.
