Geraldine C. Walters, 92, of Yardville passed away at home on Thursday December 19, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Bordentown, she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident.
Gerry as she was known by family and friends was a longtime parishioner of St. Raphael’s Church, she belonged to the PTA, Altar Rosary Society, and was also a member of the Elderberry Club. She retired from the State of NJ as Supervisor with the Division of Taxation after many years of service. Gerry and her late husband George enjoyed traveling in the United States as well as abroad. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing word games, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
Daughter of the late John and Catherine Clause McLaughlin, Sr., wife of the late George “Bucky” Walters, sister of the late Joseph, John, Jr., James, and Clinton McLoughlin, Catherine Lloyd, Eleanor Newell, Vivian Mills, Rose Haas, and Constance Boyd, and sister-in-law of the late Raymond Walters, Jr..; she is survived by her two children and their spouses, Gary J. and Pamela Walters, and Marjorie and Joseph Pignato; sister-in-law, Eileen Walters; grandchildren, Lisa Pullen and husband David, Carolyn Walters, Jeffrey Pignato, Jessica Pignato, step granddaughter AnnMarie Biddle and husband Alex; great grandchildren, Chloe and Brody Pullen, and step great grandchildren, Maximus and Abigail Biddle; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Friday, December 27, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
Due to flower regulations at the cemetery, memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton Twp., NJ 08610.
