June 8, 1945 - January 31, 2022
Francis P. Buttich, 76, of Hamilton, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He was an honorably discharged Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam Era. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers fan for his entire life. He loved spending time with his family, most importantly his grandchildren who were his pride and joy.
Predeceased by his parents, Stanley C. and Helen T. (Miller) Buttich, son, Michael Billings, sister, Patricia Devlin, and cousin, Jack Mershon; he is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol (Ray) Buttich; son James Billings; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Sal Guido; grandchildren, Lindsey (Jeff) Vogel, Carissa Collins, Cody Billings, Michael (Vanessa) Billings, Ariana Guido and Sal Guido, Jr.; great grandchildren, Jack Vogel and Ryley Billings; cousin Francis Miller and his wife June; his best friend Frank Buzinski; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Services are private and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes.

Frank mentored me as a welder for many years. I will fondly remember him from those days, he was like having a 3rd grandfather. I was lucky to have him as a friend and in his honor will continue to pass down the skills and lessons he taught me to my students.
Sorry to hear of Frank (Butch's) passing. He will be fondly be remembered for his sense of humor, and his amazing card tricks he did when we were all young...RIP...Cousins- Frank, Anthony, and Joe Buttich
