Douglas L. Hess, 57, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and had a knack for fixing things, he also made delicious homemade fudge. He loved trips to upstate New York, and going to Columbus Market for Pizza. Doug was always willing to help others.
Predeceased by his mother, Helen Hartman; his maternal grandparents who raised him, Irvine and Helen McCaulsky; his sisters, Deborah A. Cunningham and Darlene Sherrill; his beloved canine companion, Hailey; and his son, Douglas Hess, Jr.; he is survived by his father, Ron Hess, Sr.; his longtime companion, Janet Malkin; sons, Cody Hess and John Logue; his other children, Andrew and Liz Stevens; brother, Ronald (Debbie) Hess Jr., and Dave (Missy) Hess; sisters, Denise (Kevin) Joyce and Bonnie (Jr.) Alvarez; 4 grandchildren; his kitty, JoeBob; his best friend, Lou Decibus; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
PVS for Life
A Gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
Burial will be private and at the family’s convenience.

Sorry to hear about your loss (Sharon told me). Sounds like he was a real good guy.
I will always remember Doug. He was definitely a kind man. I’ve probably known Doug since I was a young teenager my stepbrother Lewis, and Doug were friends. . Later in life, Doug and I work together, which was changing but fun. Doug my friend rest in peace, say hello to my father,and keep an eye out for Louis.
I will always remember Doug , and how he asked my husband Bill to talk him up to Janet he loved her and they just fit together. We will always cherish are times we all spent together.
My uncle will be missed he was a gentle soul he loved family friends I remember how uncle Doug would take me on rides with my red corvette man it was so fun well now I can say uncle Doug now your with little Doug Grammy and the rest I love u rip
