Dolores J. Stec

July 4, 1934 - March 2, 2024


Dolores J. Stec, 89, of Hamilton Square, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton.

 

Born and raised in Trenton, Dolores was a lifelong area resident. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dolores was very generous with a loving heart; her family was her life that made her always shine bright. She was an excellent cook; Italian and Hungarian cuisine were her specialties. Dolores was an avid fan of old horror movies, always liked the new springtime as it arrived every year, and always enjoyed a good glass of scotch with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Daughter of the late Louis C. and Irene Freund Lucarella, wife of the late Bernard J. Stec, mother of the late Joseph Anthony Stec, granddaughter of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth Lucarella, and Michael and Maria Freund, niece of the late Joseph Anthony “Chuck” Lucarella, Jean Lucarella, Rose Lucarella, and Ralph Lucarella; she is survived by her four children and their spouses, Susan and Tony Medeiros, Kathleen and Dennis Barton, Maryann and Tim Sullivan and Richard and Deborah Stec; brother Louis J. Lucarella and his wife, Millie; seven grandchildren, Christopher Medeiros, Jeffrey Medeiros (Elizabeth), Kyle Barton, Jennifer Barton, Melissa Garnett (Ryan), William Sullivan, Gregory Stec, Matthew Stec (Morgan), and David Stec; nine great-grandchildren, Nicky, Abigail, Jack, Colin, Freya, Aaron, Kamalei, Khloe, and Saint; six cousins, Dr. Vanessa Lucarella, Valerie DeLorenzo, Vicky Patas, Beverly Mitchell, Lorraine Chazen,  and Sonny Lucarella.

 

For those who are able, as part of Dolores’ celebration of life, please visit with the family on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at 23 Tudor Drive, Hamilton, NJ 08690.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.

What a beautiful Lady as we were growing up! I Am so grateful for her generosity and kindness extended towards us .Kathy and Family my thoughts are with you all. She lived well as she loved well.
