Dolores E. Kelly (nee Zorechak), 82,of Hamilton, passed away on January 5, 2020. Born in Jessup, PA, and raised in Trenton, NJ, she was a Hamilton resident for more than 50 years.
Dolores graduated from Cathedral High School and St. Francis School of Nursing. She was an RN at St. Francis Medical Center and for Dr. Sidney Rothman before taking time off to raise her four children. She resumed her nursing career at Hamilton Hospital, and for private care agencies. She was especially drawn to long term pediatric cases and loved to care for all children.
Dolores enjoyed travel with her husband Jim before his passing. She loved nature and wildlife, specifically feeding the birds and birdwatching. She was a nurturing Mother and Grandmother, always making her family her priority. She was truly a caregiver all her life, and we are very thankful for her.
Dolores was a member of St. Raphael’s Parish. She was a member of the Hamilton Senior Citizens and enjoyed swimming in their pool. She was a talented knitter and loved watching old movies.
She was the daughter of Rudolph and Helen Zorechak. Dolores was predeceased by her husband, James H. Kelly and her daughter Elizabeth A. Kelly, sister Marie Ciccarello and brother Edward Zorechak.
Dolores is survived by three sons, James, Thomas and daughter-in-law, Linda, Timothy Kelly, a sister, Annie Duffy and brother-in-law, Gary Duffy, brother Edwin Zorechak, her grandchildren, Sean and Kyle Kelly, Cassandra Kelly, Henry, Elizabeth and Katherine Kelly, nieces Colleen and Allison Duffy, niece Michelle Pizzo, nephews Leon and Michael Ciccarello, niece Noreen Herring, nephews Brian, Michael, Terry, David and Louie Sagedy, and many cousins.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton.
