Dennis Gillespie, 72, of Trenton, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at CHS-Hopewell Campus.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Dennis retired from Congoleum flooring with over 37 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed summer trips to Wildwood with his family, and also loved watching his grandson playing baseball. He also use to be an avid fisherman with his friends many years ago.
Son of the late Joseph and Jeanette Gillespie, brother of the late Maryanne Vaccaro, Joseph Gillespie, Jr., and Paul Sentek, brother-in-law of the late Robert Norton, he is survived by his wife of 53 years Carmen Norton Gillespie, his four children, Lynn Gillespie, Denise Dempsey and husband James, Stacy Hillman and husband Joe, and David Broselli; his sister Teresa Tzekley; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Landolfi and fiancé Christian Viruet, Justin and James Dempsey, Anthony and Joey Hillman, Bianca and Melina Broselli, three great grandchildren, Rhyder, Cameron and Lyric; mother-in-law Charlotte Norton, brother-in-law Ronald Norton, sisters-in-law Linda Norton and Linda Sentek; and nephew Vince Viccaro and his wife Kathy, two special cousins, Gene Norton and Steve Norton, lifelong friends Joseph Williams and Barry Davis; he was godfather to Bobbi-Lynn, Kimberly Sentek and Matthew Norton; many other relatives and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday evening, October 2, 2019, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville, and again on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until time of services.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, with local clergy officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
