Denise M. Dempsey, 56, of Ewing Township, passed away at home on Sunday, December 1, 2024 with her husband Jim and close family by her side.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident, most recently residing in Ewing Township.
Denise worked for the past 20 years as an office manager with Community Health Law Project, a nonprofit organization located in Trenton. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to the Jersey Shore. Most of all family was first to Denise, she loved and adored spending time with her family, and had a special love for her dog Puddles, who she referred to as her ‘Little Sunshine” . She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Daughter of the late Dennis Gillespie, granddaughter of the late Monroe and Charlotte Norton, niece of the late Robert Norton, Linda Norton, and Paul Sentek, she is survived by her husband James Dempsey of 31 years; her mother Carmen Gillespie; son Justin Dempsey, and her stepson, James Dempsey, Jr.; her brother, David Broselli, two sisters, Lynn Gillespie, Stacy Hillman and her husband Joe; three grandchildren, Rhyder, Cameron, and Lyric; special nephew Ralph Fiasco, Jr., special niece Jennifer Landolfi, special cousin Bobbilynn Lawrence, and special friend Laura Allen; as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I don't even know where to begin, Sending my deepest condolences to Jim, Justin, Carmen, Lynn, Bobbilynn, Jennifer and the entire family in your loss. You guys are like my second family and Denise was like a big sister. Her spirit her energy her outspoken personality was undeniably one of a kind. She definitely picked up Carmen there. She never gave up and always was a fighter. She will be truly missed.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Denise was always such a beautiful person and although many years have passed since we last spoke I still remember her kindness. Mallard was one of a kind.
