Daniel Joseph Conner, 79, of Hamilton Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Hamilton, he was a lifelong area resident. He was an honorably discharged Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Barry DD933. Daniel retired after many years of service as a Mechanical Engineer from the Stokes Merrill Company. He was a talented musician and played in a Band called Separations for 35 years. But most of all Daniel loved his family.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Leora Conner, grandparents, William and Carrie Antrim, siblings, Carolyn Kemble, Leora Kish, Jacqueline Herbe and Lois Barton, brother-in-laws Lou Kish and Richard Herbe. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Conner; son, Daniel Conner, Jr. of Georgia; and daughter-in-law Maryellen Conner; son, John Daniel Conner of Hamilton, daughter Paula Digiameiardino; brother-in-law Shreeve Barton; grandchildren, Jake Conner, Katie Conner and Thomas Conner, Jayson and Abigail Digiameiardino; sisters-in-law, Carol Smith of Trenton, and Jane Hall of Whiting; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will take place at the Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Twp., NJ.Arrangements under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
