Cynthia L. Stuart

April 16, 1941 – December 19, 2021


Cynthia L. Stuart, 80, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 19, 2021.


Born in Trenton, and raised in Mercerville, she was a lifelong Hamilton Twp. resident until moving to Jackson Twp. in 2010. She graduated from Steinert High School and attended Mercer County Community College. In her early years, she lived in Delaware, and supervised a home for mentally challenged young men, and worked at the University of Delaware. Upon returning to NJ, she went on to work as a secretary for the State of New Jersey for many years.


Cindy was a devout Methodist, whose faith meant everything to her. She was a longtime member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Hamilton, and most recently worshiped at the Jackson United Methodist Church and sang in the choirs. She loved animals of all types, spending her time and money trying to make their lives of rescues and strays better. She volunteered with many different charities and organizations that helped animals, including The Cloud Foundation for horses. Cindy enjoyed shopping, Christian Hymns, was a history buff, and collected Lenox, American Girl Dolls, and Cabbage Patch Dolls.


Predeceased by her parents, Reginald T. and Mary (Raby) Lippincott, her husband Robert Stuart, and her sister Marylou Hughes; she is survived by her niece, Tammy M. Hughes; 2 great nieces, Bianca and Gianna Castaldo; her cousin Marilyn Ely-Walsh and her family; as well as other relatives and many dear friends.


Arrangements are private and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, Hamilton.
