Cynthia Katherine “Cyndi” King, 65 of Fieldsboro, New Jersey passed away peacefully in her home surrounded with love by her husband and daughters, on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Born and raised in Hamilton NJ and a resident of Fieldsboro, NJ for 37 years Cyndi graduated from St. Anthony’s High School and Trenton State (TCNJ) with a degree in health / physical education. She started her career in education at the department of corrections working as a PE teacher for 5 years. She then continued her journey on the trail with Vision Quest working with troubled youth. After a year at vision quest, she worked 10 years for the US Postal Service and was a part-time PE teacher at St. Mary’s School, where she coached basketball and soccer. Lastly, she finished out her career working at Trenton Central High School for 17 years. Cyndi enjoyed her work as a PE teacher and spent many years working with students inside and outside of the classroom She attended St. Mary’s parish and was a parishioner for over 37 years. After more than 25+ years of service, Cyndi was enjoying her retirement. She found a community of friends at the gym (Team 85), she found a love for the game of pickleball, and enjoyed many trips to the Poconos and Disney with her family.
Predeceased by her parents, Jonathon (Jack) T. Mahon, Sr., and Kathleen A. “Kitty” (Mickschutz) Mahon; and her brother, John T. Mahon; she is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Robert King; her children, Chelsea King (Alexis) Martinez, and Briana King; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Rosemarie Mahon; brother, Richard Mahon; sister-in-law, Debra Mahon; brothers-in-law, John King, and Fred King; as well as many nieces, nephews, nieces and nephews, Kristen Mahon (Elvis) Lewis, Megan Mahon (John) McQuarrie, Jacey Mahon, Griffin Mahon, Jansen Mahon, and Ryan Mahon. As well as the King and James family.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the
Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville,
with local clergy officiating.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at the Yardville Memorial Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Cynthia King c/o Trenton Education Association 206 Hamilton St., Fieldsboro, NJ 08505. All donations will be used to fund a scholarship for a graduating senior from the Trenton Public School District.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mothers are indeed special. When someone you love dies, it changes your life forever. It is not something you can ''get over,'' the loss now becomes part of who you are. May God's grace and comfort surround you as you journey through your grief.
