Constance (Connie) Helen Philburn, entered into eternal peace in the evening of Tuesday, April 30th 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ at the age of 76. Nurse, patient advocate, loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Connie was born in Bordentown, NJ to the late William and Florence Colby, the fifth of six children. She graduated from McFarland High School in Bordentown and the St Francis School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Connie met and married Richard J. Philburn III (deceased), the love of her life, and they made a home for their three children in several locations - Bethpage, NY, Springfield, NJ and Bordentown, NJ. Connie spent her life generously spreading kindness to others, and she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family: son, Timothy Philburn and his wife, Kelli; son, Jeff Philburn and his wife, Sherrie; daughter, Robyn (Philburn) Carson and husband, Joe; her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life and affectionately called her “MomMom”: Tyler, Trevor, Katie, Andrew, Christopher, and Joey. Connie is also survived by her loving brothers and sisters: Jack and Grace Colby, Robert & Theresa Colby, Gary and Bunny Colby, and Suzanne (Colby) Kershner; and many nieces and nephews as well as friends. Her family and friends will cherish her memory and miss her dearly. May she rest in peace.
