September 4, 1928 - February 15, 2023
Constance “Connie” Pupa, 94, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Atrium Post-Acute Care of Princeton.
Born to the late Anthony and Anna (Rostock) Pupa, formerly of Tedrick Street, Pittston, Pennsylvania, she was raised and lived there until moving to Trenton in 1947, where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Connie was a 1946 graduate of the Pittston Township High School. Upon moving to Trenton, Connie lived on Brunswick Avenue with her parents for decades. She was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. Connie retired from the Bayer Aspirin Pharmaceutical Corporation in their manufacturing plant, Hamilton, NJ, after 30 years of service. There she developed many cherished friendships.
Connie never married, rather she was a loving daughter to her parents and dedicated caregiver to her mother, Anna, until her death in 1993.
Connie loved to travel, dance and play bingo. She was also an avid bowler. She had a great sense of humor and was an overall happy person. Her greatest joy was her family; she had two brothers: Angelo (Angie) Pupa, Anthony (Grace) Pupa, and four sisters, Rosaria Pupa, Mildred (Chris) Birbiglia, Rose (John) DePula, and Marie (Alan) Curtis, all of whom have predeceased her. One of Connie’s greatest joys was hosting the Christmas Eve gathering which became the highlight of the year for her family. Left to cherish those precious memories and to discuss to this date are her many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday morning, February 22, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville.
A Catholic prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with local clergy officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Connie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater NJ Chapter, 23 Vreeland Road, Suite 105, Florham Park, New Jersey 07932 or through their website at www.alz.org
