Carl R. Baus, Sr., 88, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, with is loving family by his side.
Born in Hamilton Township, NJ he was a longtime area resident. He was employed for many years as a plant manager at the Mercer Rubber Company until 1999 when he retired due to the companies move to Hauppauge, Long Island, NY. He went on to work for Manheim (NADE) in Mansfield Twp., NJ for 16 more years.
Carl was a member of the Hamilton Senior Center and was an avid bingo player and longtime bingo caller.
Predeceased by his parents, Walter and Elizabeth (Emerson) Baus; his brother, Charles Baus; twin sister, Jeannie Lincoln; sister, Elizabeth Bird; and grandson Michael Hendrickson.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Arlene Van Pelt; daughter, Cathy Hendrickson (Tony Magliari); son Carl (Helen) Baus, Jr.; 3 grandsons, Chase (Stacy), Carl III (Natalie), Brian (Robyn); five great-grandchildren, Layla, Hailey, and Ian Hendrickson, and Cara and Audrey Baus; as well as many other family members and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial Home with Mother Mantelle Bradley officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be may to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015, or to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
