Brenda Lee Thornley

September 30, 1963 - December 17, 2024

Brenda Lee Thornley, 61, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Capital Health Systems at Fuld, surrounded by the love of her family.   Brenda chose to be an organ donor and her gift of life will undoubtedly save countless lives with her unselfish act of donation.  She lived a life full of wonderful and varied experiences.

Born and raised in Townsend, Delaware, Brenda resided in Salisbury, MD for several years where she started her family.  When her son was a toddler, she moved them to Hamilton and has been a resident on and off for most of their lives. She was employed with the Superior Court of NJ, Office of Judiciary and retired after more than 20 years of service.

Brenda's hobbies and interests helped define who she was. She enjoyed spending time at the beach or laying in her yard sunbathing, Country music, going to concerts, watching the food network and arts and crafts. Brenda left a lasting impact of her warmth, generosity, and strength on everyone who met her and all became her extended family. She had so much love for her family and friends, especially her son, Kenny and her grandson, Lucas.

Predeceased by her parents, Donald Lee Thornley, Sr and Marguerite Marie Thomas Thornley; her brother, Donald Lee Thornley, Jr.; and her son, Kenneth Lee Jones, Jr.; she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Policarpio; her grandchildren, Lucas K. Jones, Lilia Policarpio, and her extended grandbabies; as well as many dear friends and other family members who will miss her dearly.

We find comfort in knowing that Brenda's legacy lives on through the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.  "Love your face"

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Words of remembrance will be offered at 2:00p.m.
