Betty Lou (Pellegrino) Kupersavage

January 29, 1941 - August 19, 2023

Betty Lou (Pellegrino) Kupersavage, 82, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center at Plainsboro.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she lived most of her life in the Hamilton area. After years of being home with her 4 daughters, she got her first job in the late 70's at the original Angeloni's Italian Restaurant in Hamilton. She later took typing classes at night and was able to start her career with the State of New Jersey, where she retired after 17 years from the Dept. of Community Affairs.

Her grandchildren were her world, and she was dedicated to anything that had to do with them. She was brave enough to run "nanny day-camp" many summers and watch all 6 of her youngest grandchildren and just a few short years later, all 7 of them. Her favorite thing to say, and she reminded them daily, was "there are no bad kids in this family!" She was so very proud of her Italian heritage and wore those symbols around her neck and proudly displayed on every car she owned. It was her signature. She loved Parx Casino and could spend hours there on her favorite slot machines. Luck was often on her side, and she was always happy to share the news.

She was loved dearly and spoiled rotten by her daughters. She would tell anyone she spoke to that she did not know what she would do without her girls. She had many good friends and special people in her life.

Predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Phoebe (Grilli) Pellegrino; a sister, Genevieve Pellegrino; and a nephew, Glenn Heller; she is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Philip Kupersavage; 4 daughters and a son-law, Denise Purdy of Hamilton, Robin Manna of Hamilton, Barbara and Ron Kuleba of Mullica Hill, and Betty Barnaba of Vincentown; a sister, Marlene Fanelli of Trenton; eight grandchildren, Richard Purdy (Jessica), Ryan Manna, Kenny Manna, Zachary Kuleba, Hannah Kuleba, Julianna Barnaba, Philip Barnaba and Christian Barnaba; 2 great grandchildren, Jackson and Austin Purdy; 2 nieces, Lisa Youmans and Diana Vaccaro; as well as other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.

A prayer service will be held at 12:00 p.m.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 https://www.stjude.org/

I will miss you so much aunt Betty.

My memories will remain as you were always beautiful and wearing your gold earrings, necklaces which embraced your Italian heritage. Your hair and makeup always done perfectly. We went to a computer class together many years ago and I was so proud to be seen with you my amazing aunt Betty. I enjoyed that time with you and the laughter we shared if only for a few hours !!

I'll love you forever and always !! ❣️
