Barbara Donahue, 66, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Hamilton Grove surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Barbara was a lifelong resident of the area. She dedicated many years of service as a crossing guard for the City of Trenton’s Police Department, stationed at Columbus School. There, she looked after countless children, ensuring their safety as they navigated busy intersections. She was also a member of Mercer County Signal 22.
In her free time, Barb found joy in camping, cooking, cheering on her sons and grandsons at their ball games, and most of all, spending cherished moments with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barb was predeceased by her parents, Horace Rapciewicz and Alfrida (Lewis) Rapciewicz Pointon. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 49 years, John Donahue; her four sons and daughters-in-law, Joe “Dirt” Donahue, Johnny and Vanessa Donahue, Chris and Michelle Donahue, and Tony Donahue and fiancée Aileen Gennell. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard (Connie) Lewis and John (Kathy) Prebble; her adored grandchildren, Samantha, McKenzie, Thomas, Trevor, Julian, Amelia, and Scarlett; and her great-grandson, Travis; brother-in-law, Kevin Donahue; sister-in-law, Michele Donahue; special cousin, Lynn Pabers-Zambrana; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
