Alice Erdy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifelong area resident. She was employed with the State of NJ, Dept. of Labor and Industry, and retired after 30 years of service. As an active parishioner of St. Raphael’s/Holy Angels Church, she was a member of their Altar Rosary Society, taught CCD, was a Eucharist Minister, a member of the Elderberry Club, Raphael’s Angels, Interfaith Caregivers, and was on the Social Concerns Ministry that spent time visiting nursing homes and volunteered at T.A.S.K. Alice was always busy, she loved to sew and do crafts. She enjoyed traveling and took trips to places like Italy and Ireland. She had a big heart and over the years shared her home with numerous pets. Alice was an amazing person who was loved by all.
Predeceased by her parents, Alvin S. and Helen (King) Novie; her husband, Jerry J. Erdy; and her cousins, Gail and Richard Spangler, Ruth and George Platt, and Fred Oels; she is survived by her son Steven J Erdy; cousins Nancy Krause and Walter Blatchford and their family, The Platt family, and The Perry family; as well as many dear church friends.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the
Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at St Raphael’s Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024
from 6:00 p.m. until; 8:00 p.m at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton,
NJ 08610 or to any animal charity of the donor’s choice.
